| Description | The Department of Philosophy at Ben-Gurion University of the Negev invites outstanding candidates to apply for a full-time, tenure-track position in philosophy, to commence on October 1, 2026. The position is open to candidates in all ranks. AOS/AOC is open; the department will seek excellent candidates who can expand its research and teaching coverage.
Candidates will normally be expected to have earned a PhD degree in Philosophy before submission of application and should exhibit a record of excellence in research, commensurate with their level of experience. Duties include: (1) Teaching at the undergraduate and graduate levels (candidates will be expected to teach in Hebrew upon beginning of work, or shortly thereafter). (2) Supervision of research students pursuing M.A. and Ph.D. degrees. (3) Pursuing innovative excellent research, competing for competitive research grants, and publishing research products in leading international scholarly journals. (4) Fulfilling active roles in the life of the department and the university. |
