The Jacob Blaustein Institutes for Desert Research
The Ben-Gurion National Solar Energy Center is currently expanding. We are seeking talented researchers to join our team as faculty members in the field of solar and renewable energy. The Solar Energy Center at BGU is committed to addressing the challenges of solar energy in its broadest sense, including (but not limited to) harvesting solar energy in different ways, efficient storage of harvested energy, integrating solar energy technologies with other energy sources, and optimizing solar electricity production despite its intermittent nature. The Ben-Gurion National Solar Energy center is part of the SIDEER, in the Blaustein Institutes for Desert Research. Interdisciplinary research and collaborations between the institutes and fields of research are highly encouraged and integral to our mission, and this presents an exceptionally stimulating environment for innovative multidisciplinary endeavors. Our faculty members advise students and teach courses in our M.Sc. and Ph.D. programs in Environmental Physics and Solar Energy, as well as undergraduate courses in relevant degree programs at BGU. Faculty of Engineering Sciences

The Faculty of Natural Sciences
We are interested in candidates who employ innovative approaches and/or utilize novel computational systems to conduct cutting-edge computational biological research. These subjects include all the current leading computational approaches, including AI. In addition, the Department is committed to quality teaching at all levels. Applications may be in Iranian studies (or "the Persianate World") or Gulf studies (including one or more of the Arab Gulf states) in the mediaeval, early-modern or modern periods. The position will begin 1 October 2024.
