Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences
The Department of Philosophy at Ben-Gurion University of the Negev, in Be’er Sheva, Israel, seeks to appoint an outstanding philosopher to a tenure-track position, beginning October 2024. Job Description and Requirements: The Department welcomes applications from candidates in all specializations and competencies but has particular research and teaching needs in Early Modern Philosophy. We therefore especially welcome applications from outstanding candidates working in the history of philosophy from the 16th through the early 18th century. Positions at Ben-Gurion University traditionally begin at the Lecturer or Senior Lecturer rank, but this call for applications is also open to candidates of more senior rank. The Department of Philosophy at Ben-Gurion University of the Negev sets the highest value on excellence in both teaching and research. We are a relatively small department, and all our members play an active role in administrative work and are expected to contribute to University governance. Faculty Members are expected to compete for external research funding, in which our Department has an excellent record. Job responsibilities include teaching required and elective courses in the candidate’s area of specialization at both the B.A. and M.A. levels and general introductory courses in philosophy as well. The Interdisciplinary Unit
The School of Brain Sciences and Cognition and the Dept. of Physiology and Cell Biology at Ben Gurion have a vigorous and fast-growing program in neuroscience. The School of Brain Sciences and Cognition constitutes more than 80 researchers in all fields of brain and cognitive sciences from more than 15 academic departments and is home to both undergraduate and graduate degrees encapsulating a student body of several hundreds. The Faculty in the Dept. of Physiology and Cell Biology lead research in diverse disciplines of neuroscience including systems, stem cell metabolic, and neurodegenerative aspects of neurobiology. We are seeking an outstanding candidate for a tenure-track position, to expand our community of researchers and interdisciplinary scholars. For the position published here, we look for a candidate interested in any aspect of systems neuroscience. This includes but is not limited to, mammalian or non-mammalian sensory processing, memory and learning, motor control, emotional processing, social behavior, pain, sleep and circadian rhythms, neuroplasticity, and any other system neuroscience-related research.

The Department of Physical Therapy invites applications for a tenure-track position (Lecturer, Senior lecturer, Associate Professor). . Job requirements: The candidate is expected to establish and develop an externally funded research laboratory in the Department of Physical Therapy at Ben-Gurion University, and gain international recognition for the impact of their research and publications. Responsibilities include teaching undergraduate and graduate courses in the Department of Physical Therapy, advising B.PT., MSc.PT., M.PT., and Ph.D. students, and providing service to the department and the university community. <p>The Guilford Glazer Faculty of Business and Management (GGFBM) at Ben-Gurion University of the Negev invites applicants of all ranks for a full-time, tenure-track position in the Department of Management. We are looking for candidates with outstanding research achievements or potential in either: 1) Entrepreneurship, preferably with a quantitative approach, or 2) Any business administration core research field (Marketing, Strategy, Finance, Accounting, OB/HR) but with a strong research emphasis on state-of-the-art tools of data analytics, such as deep learning, generative AI, predictive AI, or similar.
